Diamond Colors
Blue
Titanic as the sky-blue heavens above, infinite peace, calmness, and devotion stretch beyond the end of the world, just like blue diamonds. For most blue diamonds, their color is due to trace amounts of the element boron, which substitutes for some of the carbon atoms in the diamond's crystal lattice.
Yellow
Just as the warm sunlight nurtures life, the flash of golden yellow hue evokes gleams of cheerfulness and curiosity, adding depth to the diamond that catches the eye. Yellow diamonds’ unique color comes from the presence of nitrogen in their composition. Depending on the amount of nitrogen, the color intensity will range from light to dark.
Pink
Pink diamonds are often worn by celebrities as they are the altitude of luxury and are extremely rare. This romantic shade comes from a distortion of the diamond’s crystal structure, though the exact cause of the color remains a mystery. Representing the color of love, happiness, and delight, pink diamonds are a uniquely beautiful choice.
Black
Unlike other color diamonds that can attribute their color to geological impurities, black diamonds are diamonds with a very high number of inclusions of minerals. Thanking minerals like graphite for its bold appearance and sheer elegance, each diamond is symbolic of strength and charisma among many other virtues.
Red
The color of dominance, red is often associated with power, heat, and passion. Similar to pink diamonds, red diamonds don’t obtain their color from having impurities in their composition. Not knowing the exact origin of the red diamond’s color adds to the stone’s mystery, as it’s the rarest one of all the fancy color diamonds.
Green
Representing harmony and renewal, green diamonds are cherished by nature enthusiasts for resembling the magnificence of the wild. The color of green diamonds originates from the atomic radiation that the stones endure. Green diamonds are often matched with yellow gold jewelry for a luxurious and royal vintage look.
Standing out from the Crowd.
Certain natural elements, such as nitrogen or boron, can saturate the diamond, alter its microscopic structure, and change its interaction with light, giving it its exceptional colors.
